How To Prevent Air Conditioner Condensation

Have you ever noticed condensation on your air conditioning unit? If so, it is a sign that your home is now prone to water damage. Luckily, there are steps you can take to avoid this.

  1. Check the air conditioner condensation line for moisture. You should do this at least once a month.
  2. Your A/C condensation line should run straight. If this is not a possibility, try to reduce elbow connection angles as much as possible.
  3. When your A/C unit is on, inspect the condensation line opening. You should see water going towards the drain.
  4. Leaving your air conditioner line to its own devices is not a good idea. You should clean the A/C condensation line every 3-6 months.
